Are snow loads different in Eagle?
On the valley floor they match Meridian — 20 psf ground, 25 psf roof minimum. In the foothills they rise with elevation, and Eagle's building department applies the higher number to hillside lots. We use the address's design load, not the city's minimum, and add snow retention on metal roofs so a slide doesn't land on your front walk.
Why are Eagle inspections stricter?
They aren't stricter so much as more thorough — Eagle's inspectors are known for checking ventilation balance and underlayment installation, which most cities wave through. It's the right thing to check and it's how we build anyway.
What does a metal roof cost on an Eagle estate?
Standing seam runs about $1,050–$1,500 a square installed, so a 50-square roof is $52,000–$75,000; stone-coated steel is a little less. A heavyweight architectural shingle on the same roof is $25,000–$35,000. We price both in writing after we've walked it.
Do you work on tile roofs?
